After WWII company founder John Napoli Monteleone settled in Puerto Rico at a time during which the island was undergoing an economic boost. The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico had placed a tremendous emphasis on tourism and manufacturing. And stemming from these issues, he started a small business that supplied refrigeration and gas cooking equipment to local foodservice establishments and was soon recognized as the only one of his kind in the area.
From that moment on, John Napoli & Associates, Inc has grown to become one of the Caribbean's leading distributors of food service equipment and supplies, serving hotels, restaurants, hospitals, and manufacturing facilities in Puerto Rico and nearby islands.
After John Napoli Monteleone passed away in 1990, Marcos Salvá became the president of the company and continued the hands -on approach of the founder and has remained as a special consultant to the corporation since his retirement in 1996. Following in their father's footsteps, President John A. Napoli and Executive Vice President José A. Salvá now manage the family business, along with the experienced collaboration of Minerva Collazo, Vice president of operations and purchasing, and 22 dedicated employees.
Located in Puerta de Tierra its office, showroom and warehouse space cover more than 30,000 square feet and carries more than 5,000 line items from well known manufacturers including Vulcan Hart gas, electric, and steam equipment; Harold Leonard our biggest small wares supplier since 1971, True and Scotsman refrigerators and freezers, Hobart Mfg. heavy duty food service equipment, Libbey glassware, Oneida flatware and Holloware and many more.
The company's expertise in consulting and design has been instrumental in helping businesses plan and equip their kitchens and food preparation facilities. This includes major restaurant and hotel establishments, as well as hospital kitchens and the in-plant feeding areas and cafeterias of the island's major Pharmaceutical and manufacturing operations. With the use of the AutoCAD Software to create floor plans, our specialists can enter the design specifications
into the computer and rapidly deliver the proposed layout to a client via hard copy or CD. John Napoli & Associates, Inc. also works with interior designers, architects, and engineers to plan dining areas and helps ensure that the food service establishments be in compliance with all local and federal safety standards.
Since its founding John Napoli & Associates, Inc. has been the only local company of its kind with an in-house service department. Our mechanics, electricians, gas and refrigeration specialists, and plumbers are qualified to repair and provide maintenance to all the equipment we sell and install.
Our sales staff is always up to date with the latest trends and technology related to the food service industry and business and walk-in customers have always been welcome. Our showroom in Puerta de Tierra features more than 10,000 square feet of food preparation equipment and supplies, with our cash and carry store featuring discounts on volume purchases of restaurant quality tableware, glassware, linen, china, silverware, and other related items.
